My Dear Life

Iqra Liaqat – June 18, 2020
Edited by Rabhia Shuja

A happy fresh morning, a blossoming flower, a cup of tea, a book to consume, a smile from beloved ones, and this made my day. This is everything for me.

A neighbor had come over to meet my mother. They were having a normal conversation when she suddenly started, “Life is so tough nowadays. It’s miserable. Life is a joke. I am just irritated.”

My mother tried calming her down but she refused to understand. She felt so confident about her perspective that she failed to consider any of my mother’s words.

“Aunty, did life tell you that it is playing a joke on you or that it’s irritating?” I randomly asked her. There was silence in the room for a certain time.

“You don’t have an idea because you’re not mature enough.” She replied.

Those words hit me. I wanted to hear from more people. So, I asked my network and my family: what would the year 2020 look like in your imagination if you were to recall it in your future? The answers were somewhat like this:

Oh, 2020, the black year. An unfortunate year; the year full of sorrow, the year of tears, the dreadful year, and many more. When I asked why, they blamed Corona for it. But I couldn’t understand why? Then I heard the words echo in my mind; life is a mazak! Somehow It will pass…

Pause…..

A deep sigh……

A complete silence….

Are they all right? “No, not at all”, said my heart.

No answer, not even another word when demanding the reason behind this useless fact or maybe a sudden reaction to question. I was thinking about why people are depressed by the current pandemic situation?. Why do they think that life is just a joke? Why are they not living their life with love?

Is life really a joke? Let me ask from God! According to Him, from what I understand, this situation is just a test for us. Life is worth living. Mark my words; life is precious. It’s worth living.

“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way, your mind looks at what happens”. ~Khalil Gibran

Life is not a joke. It’s worth living. Just live it with love and humanity in your heart. There are so many ups and downs in life but it does not mean that life is useless. Your life is very precious. It is gifted by The One who loves you more than anything in this world; more than 70 mothers. So, how can your life be a joke to you? Bad days come and go, these are not permanent. Sorrow comes in your life and goes by giving you some lessons. Nothing remains forever so how can you say that life is a joke or this year is dreadful! How?

These all are due to the fear that resides in the block of your mind. This year we are facing a difficult time, but we will overcome this time by unity. This time demands humanity, kindness, unity, care, love. God gives us this life. If he is testing us, it does not mean that it’s the end. Life is so sincere with you when you are sincere with it. The current situation is difficult, we are isolated in our homes, away from our beloved ones but everything is still present within your heart, just boost up. Spend every day with love.

Life is so friendly to you if you are friendly with it. In life, the situation does not always remain the same. It changes. We need to stay positive with every situation. Just stay positive. Believe in yourself.

There’s always something new to look forward to every day

The most beautiful creature is human. The most beautiful thoughts are of a human. The most beautiful smile is of a human. Humans have a pure heart with a crazy dream, passion, wishes, and the world’s best smile. His thinking is incredible. His perspective is unimaginable. Human is pure from the heart and decorates the world with his simplicity. This is because God gives us these beautiful blessings. So, now life is precious and gracious to me, even with everyone.

My mentor always said;

‘Mar to Jana hi hai’, so why not make something good, positive, and meaningful out of it?

Life can be super unpredictable and hence all the more reason for us to enjoy whatever time we have on this planet.

This year we all are facing a terrible situation but believe me, it’s just temporary. We will overcome this situation by staying positive. By helping each other in this pandemic situation we will be fine. This situation demands care, humanity, and love for each other. Let’s pay some gratitude to life;

My dear loveliest, dreamy life, thank you for staying gracious to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my every moment outstanding for making my every day so beautiful. Thank you for being my loveliest friend. You are so lovely and charming. A little heartful gratitude to you. My lovely life, thanks so much. Stay always with me.

We just need to remember one thing always that one who creates us, who loves us more than 70 mothers can never make our life a joke for all of us. Make your life worth living with love and positivity.

I enjoyed every moment of every day, even if I have to do so much work. I will live it over in happy dreams for years. Let’s make life B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L by living it with all the heart and E-N-J-0-Y-I-N-G it with the loved ones.

Create the life that’s unique to you.

Not Married and Happily Fighting

My brother and I are not married and we have been happily fighting since 1997. I was born first, and I’m one year, two months, eight days, and 17.5 hours elder than him. But unfortunately, 7 inches shorter than him. We love each other. At least from my side, it’s a yes…

My Learning Challenges

Ever wondered how beautiful the word ‘learning’ is? It basically means that despite our age, gender, racial, religious or cultural background we could learn a new set of beliefs, behaviors, attitudes and skills. It also means that we could unlearn some of the previously learned set of beliefs, behaviors, attitudes and skills that do not serve us anymore.
